(S)he was missing when I got there. You can still use the phantoms to solve the puzzle... which is a bit hard with the creature missing.

By the way, at the end of our guide here we have a video clip of JUST the audio clue.
The remainder of the guide is covered in invisitext.
You can use our video if the spirit is missing without spoiling the quest. It's a work around until the spirit comes back from break.
